Lauren Oberlin is a photographer and fiber artist originally from Columbus, OH. They received their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2019. Their work borrows from the real world in the form of photographs, then transports their subjects to the realms of fantasy, dreams, and psyche through layers of storytelling and abstraction. The Tarot, ritual magick, and the dysfunctional body are amongst current inspirations. Outside of their fine arts practice, Lauren is a fashion photographer amongst other things - every passion becomes a project.
